3D printing & design for medical devices.

Biocompatible enclosures, wearables, and device development for medtech startups and incubators — from concept to a printable, testable prototype. We work closely with teams at MIX, Communitech and MACcelerate.

Healthcare & Medical Devices
Where we help

Built for device teams and clinicians.

▣

Packaging dense electronics

Interleaved layouts and controlled chamber heights pack sensors and boards into wearable, comfortable enclosures.

◉

Biocompatibility & finish

Biocompatible Formlabs resins and watertight SLA parts with cosmetic finishing for device-grade results.

↻

Iterating under deadline

Quick-turn prototypes — parts in days, not weeks — so you keep momentum toward your milestone.

▤

Prosthetics & orthotics

Sockets, braces, splints and supports shaped to a scan of the patient rather than picked off a size chart.

⚙

Wearables & body-worn devices

Lightweight housings, straps and skin-contact parts that stay comfortable through long wear trials.

◇

Anatomical models & lab tooling

Printed anatomy for surgical planning and consent conversations, plus trays, jigs and bench hardware for the lab.

Capabilities

What we bring to the table.

Resin, filament and nylon powder through one shop and one point of contact — so your part is made on the right process in the right material, not whatever happens to be free.

Common questions

Answered.

Do you offer biocompatible or medical resins?
Yes. We keep Formlabs BioMed Clear in stock for skin-contact and device prototypes, and can order the rest of the BioMed range for your project. Tell us the contact type and duration and we’ll recommend the grade, and supply the manufacturer’s biocompatibility documentation with the parts.
Will my device concept stay confidential?
Yes — we routinely work with startups under NDA, and your files and concepts are used only to produce your parts.
Can you help develop the device, not just print it?
Absolutely. Through our CAD & design service we take a concept or problem and engineer it into a manufacturable, testable device.
Can you make patient-specific parts from a scan?
Yes — we work from CT, MRI or surface-scan data to produce anatomical models, and from 3D scans of a limb or joint for orthotic and prosthetic fitting. Send the data and we’ll tell you what it will and won’t support.
How fast can I get prototypes?
Most SLA and FDM prototypes are back in 1–4 days, with local pickup in Kitchener–Waterloo.

Have a project in this space?

Book twenty minutes with an engineer to talk through the requirement — material, tolerance, volume, certification — before anything gets modelled or quoted.
