Where we help

From pattern to poured metal.

◉

Castable wax patterns

Castable Wax 40 on the Form 4BL at 25µm, so prongs, pavé seats, filigree and engraving come off the printer crisp.

▤

Sizing models & fit checks

Printed on demand, so a piece is right on the hand before any metal gets poured.

◇

CAD from a sketch or photo

Model a piece that doesn’t exist yet, or clean up an existing file so that it actually casts.

↻

Scanning & restoration

3D scan an existing piece and rebuild it as editable CAD for resizing, repair or reproduction.

⚙

Matching sets & resizing

Carry one design across a full size range, or extend it into a matching set.

▣

Display & presentation models

Oversized or plated show pieces for cabinets, trade shows and product photography.

Capabilities

What we bring to the table.

Resin, filament and nylon powder through one shop and one point of contact — so your part is made on the right process in the right material, not whatever happens to be free.

Common questions

Answered.

Do you cast the metal as well?
We print the castable patterns — the burnout and pour happen at your bench or your caster’s. Most jewellers we work with already have a casting relationship; if you don’t, tell us and we’ll point you toward casting houses in the region.
What resin do you use for casting patterns?
Formlabs Castable Wax 40 — a 40%-wax resin built for direct investment casting. It burns out cleanly without ash or expansion, so you keep sharp detail and avoid cracked investment.
Can you work from a photo or an existing piece?
Yes. Our CAD & design service can model a piece from reference images and dimensions, or 3D scan an existing piece and rebuild it as an editable CAD model — useful for resizing, restoring, or building a matching set.
How fine a detail can you hold?
25µm layer heights on the Form 4BL resolve pavé seats, bead settings, milgrain and fine engraving. Send the file and we’ll flag anything too thin to survive casting before you pay for it.
